Our classes

Sparring during training at PLATFORMA Jiu Jitsu

Beginners

75 min

This class is for adults and teens with no prior martial-arts background at all. We break everything down into the simplest possible building blocks: breakfalls, movement — we start from the basics and build up step by step. We will teach you how to tie your belt and how to shrimp, and cover the rules of competitive jiu-jitsu. Great atmosphere, answers to every question, maximum comfort.

All levels

90 min

Our main group. We work on the fundamental techniques: guard, guard passing, joint locks and chokes, takedowns. We learn to chain techniques together. We prioritise positional control over the opponent, help you find your own game and build a strategy to win. Through positional rounds we learn to apply what we have drilled in a real situation. Knowing a technique means being able to pull it off on a resisting opponent of your own level.

Kids 4–8

60 min

Open to everyone. Here we teach the basics of grappling. Most elements are delivered as fun, active games. We develop coordination and reaction. Through training the child becomes stronger, faster and more resilient, and makes new friends. They meet their first real challenges and, through them, grow more focused, disciplined and responsible.

Kids 9–14

75 min

In this group we study technique in more depth, learn to think during a match and make the right decisions. Step by step the kids grow stronger and more confident. They build the habit of not giving up when things get hard and of reaching their goals. For many kids the gym becomes a place they want to return to again and again — for the sport they love, new friends and constant growth.

Gi

The traditional training format in the kimono. Greater variety of techniques, more emphasis on grips. Strategic, measured grappling — human chess.

No-Gi

Training in shorts and a rashguard. Also called submission grappling: focus on joint locks and chokes, high pace and intensity. The main emphasis is on body control, balance and coordination.
